Paul Laidlaw – Community Resilience
I have over ten years’ experience applying a range of participation and community development expertise that has stimulated grassroots growth in communities across Scotland. I have a detailed understanding of participation, partnership working and promoting collaborative relationships between community organisations and government at all levels.
My background is in housing policy, practice, project management and research supporting communities to influence decisions at all levels. I have a wealth of skills and experience working with communities and statutory agencies building partnership activities into successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
I am looking forward to the new challenge of bringing his experience and expertise to the Scottish Flood Forum in order to support and develop existing Community Flood Resilience Groups, work with partners to support communities at risk of flooding and raise awareness and understanding of flood risk across Scotland.
