SFF peer to peer event
Successful Networking Event Held on Natural Flood Management Approaches
This film meets the communities most affected by flooding, and explores some of the most innovative methods of natural flood management using real examples from around the country.
John Brown who is a SFF Trustee and Chair of Falkland flood action group said: “This is a valuable networking event for flood risk communities and wider community resilience groups and we have already made links with Callander Resilience Group who will be visiting Falkland to look at our NFM work”.
SEPA’s Communication Manager Stewart Prodger said: “This networking event is a great way to get knowledge better shared, understanding increased and the opportunities around NFM recognised. There’s rarely going to be a single, definitive solution to most flooding problems, but there’s no doubt NFM can play a role in many scenarios. Getting flooding professionals, land managers and communities to consider solutions jointly is key to Scotland’s aim of tackling flooding together.
The SFF is committed to helping communities understand the risks and consequences of flooding in their area and provide effective support to recover from flooding and become more resilient.
